• Develop and implement industry-leading practices across Ball’s manufacturing facilities.
• Establish and deploy standards for the operation of can-making machinery, along with the materials and parts used in the process.
• Provide direct oversight for the design, installation, startup, and operation of can lines.
• Lead global subject matter experts in creating and implementing process documentation for all can-making technologies and direct materials.
• Work in collaboration with Capital Procurement and key suppliers to evaluate standard equipment specifications and uphold OEM change control.
• Supervise trials and workflows to assess the operational readiness of process innovations, coordinating efforts with suppliers, operations, and the Ball Operational Excellence organization.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in engineering leadership, focusing on establishing best practices for industrial processes.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience managing technology in a global manufacturing setting, preferably in beverage can manufacturing.
• At least 7 years of experience in generating business cases/ROI, as well as in technology selection and vendor management.
• Proficient knowledge in areas such as purchasing, legal contracts, licenses, accounting, economics, depreciation, capitalization, accruals, ISO standards, auditing (both internal and external), insurance, and contract negotiations.
