This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create original and thought-provoking multiple-choice engineering questions across various advanced engineering fields.
• Assess pre-existing questions for accuracy, clarity, rigor, completeness, and solvability.
• Revise questions and answer options while documenting significant technical modifications.
• Validate calculations, engineering rationale, assumptions, and the designated correct answers.
• Generate assessment content that encompasses semiconductor design and manufacturing, VLSI, control systems, mechatronics, reactor and plant engineering, reservoir engineering, maintenance, bioinstrumentation, and biotechnology engineering.
• Provide academic references along with structured explanations of solutions.
• Evaluate question difficulty based on Medium, Hard, and Expert categories.
• Assist in maintaining a consistent level of technical and academic quality throughout benchmark content.
• Contribute to high-standard evaluation materials for advanced AI systems.
• PhD or current enrollment as a doctoral candidate in Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• A Master's degree may be considered for candidates demonstrating exceptional expertise in a relevant engineering subdomain.
• Strong understanding of graduate-level engineering principles and applied mathematics.
• Proficiency in one or more areas such as Semiconductor Design, VLSI, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Reactor or Plant Design, Separations, Reservoir Engineering, Engineering Maintenance, Bioinstrumentation, or Biotechnology.
• Strong capability to analyze complex engineering systems and verify quantitative solutions.
• Familiarity with applicable technical standards and professional engineering practices.
• Excellent command of written English with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and accurately.
• Academic research publications or extensive industry experience are highly valued.
• Professional engineering licensure or equivalent technical credentials are advantageous.
• Experience in university-level teaching, examination development, or technical assessments is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to mathematical accuracy, engineering feasibility, and problem solvability.
• Expected availability of no less than 10 hours per week.
• Work must be carried out without using any confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or third-party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support are not available for this position.
• Flexible scheduling tailored to project requirements.
• Fully remote and asynchronous work environment.
• Part-time independent contractor role.
