This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Conduct Thorough Examination and Test (TExT) inspections of Local Exhaust Ventilation systems.
• Assess components of LEV systems such as air movers, ducting, hoods, and filtration systems.
• Inspect systems that manage fumes, dust, and mists in various environments including schools, hospitals, and manufacturing sites.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineer Surveyor Team as part of the Senior Operations Team Leaders.
• Generate examination reports utilizing electronic reporting tools.
• Ascend to heights using appropriate ladders and work platforms to inspect system ducting.
• Gather readings from elevated test points.
• Regularly travel to client locations within the designated local work area.
• Provide support and act on behalf of fellow Engineer Surveyors when necessary.
• Independently manage weekly work schedules, meetings, visits, and task allocation.
• Qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience.
• At least an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• A full, valid UK driving licence.
• A readiness to learn and embrace new challenges.
• A keen interest in understanding LEV system inspections and COSHH regulations.
• Capability to make informed decisions and assume responsibility.
• Proficient in short-, medium-, and long-term planning.
• Ability to travel efficiently within the designated local work area.
• Competence in processing documentation and completing general administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Willingness to support and stand in for fellow Engineer Surveyors.
• Strong time management abilities.
• Comfortable with the use of tablets and smartphones.
• A passion for engineering and a self-motivated approach.
• Ability to engage with a diverse range of clients on a daily basis.
• Excellent customer interaction skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with LEV systems is preferred but not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided.
• Capable of working in a hands-on, customer-oriented environment and able to withstand exposure to heights, noise, and dust.
