This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Conduct inspections and evaluations of various electrical systems and Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) equipment.
• Perform assessments of electrical installations and LEV systems in compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
• Execute Periodic Inspection & Testing and generate Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) for industrial and commercial setups along with associated electrical apparatus.
• Inspect LEV equipment, including fans, ductwork, hoods, and filtration systems.
• Create clear and precise reports and certifications.
• Detect issues and offer practical, safety-focused recommendations.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients while providing technical advice and assistance.
• Manage an independent schedule that includes planning meetings, visits, and work assignments.
• Ensure that activities align with Allianz's quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Engage in regular travel to clients' locations within the designated local work area.
• Step in for fellow Engineer Surveyors as necessary.
• Up-to-date knowledge and comprehension of relevant compliance and regulatory rules and procedures in the Electrical / LEV field.
• Capability to plan short-term, medium-term, and long-term tasks, including scheduling meetings, visits, and work assignments.
• Ability to travel efficiently within the assigned local work area.
• Proficient in processing documentation and performing general administrative tasks.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to act as a deputy for fellow Engineer Surveyors when needed.
• Hands-on experience in low-voltage wiring installation, inspection or maintenance, and troubleshooting across factories, homes, shops, and similar settings.
• Minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
• BS7671:2018 (18th Edition), C&G2391 Inspection & Testing, or equivalent certifications.
• Familiarity with Local Exhaust Ventilation systems and understanding of COSHH Regulations.
• Valid UK Driver’s License.
• Strong planning skills and ability to prioritize individual workload effectively.
• Excellent customer interaction skills.
• Proficient oral and written communication abilities.
• Responsible use of Artificial Intelligence is considered advantageous.
• Starting salary of £45,539 per year.
