Engineer III, Software/Web Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assess software and data requirements to evaluate design feasibility within budget and time limits

• Collaborate with engineers, data analysts, and IT professionals to define system specifications

• Articulate concepts, recommendations, and solutions to clients and management both verbally and in writing

• Design, architect, and develop desktop software, web applications, and cloud-based solutions

• Create application services on AWS utilizing cloud-native technologies such as Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB

• Establish and execute procedures and documentation for software system testing, validation, and training

• Oversee testing, installation, and deployment of software at client locations

• Offer support and maintenance for existing software and web applications/products

• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Data teams on software and data reporting and visualization requirements

• Lead projects and provide technical guidance to a team of developers

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related Engineering field

• Over 8 years of practical experience in software design and development, object-oriented analysis and design, and GUI development

• More than 5 years of experience with the full-stack .NET Framework and C#, alongside web development using .NET Core, ASP.NET, and Web API

• At least 5 years of experience in building front-end applications with React 18+ using TypeScript

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

• Over 3 years of experience with AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch

• A combination of 11+ years of education and experience in software engineering may be accepted in place of the educational requirement

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and management

• Capability to lead projects and provide technical direction to a development team

• Proficiency in English is essential

• Ability to endure variable and occasionally extreme physical conditions during site visits or inspections in railroad environments

• Must be capable of lifting weights up to 30 lbs.

• Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related Engineering field

• Preferred: Experience with Claude Code CLI and managing an agentic environment (*.md, tooling, workflows)

• Preferred: Knowledge of TanStack, Tailwind CSS, Zod, shadcn, infrastructure as code, Terraform, AWS event-driven architectures, SNS/SQS, message queues, and streaming data ingestion
