Engineer II – Virtualization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold solutions for virtualization settings

• Manage open-source virtualization and VMware platforms catering to thousands of virtual machines

• Execute Linux engineering and administration tasks

• Oversee, sustain, and operate a production environment

• Diagnose server hardware problems

• Automate routine tasks and deploy using an IaaS model

• Engage in an on-call rotation with fellow team members

• Utilize public cloud and cloud management principles

• Develop scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, and alerts

• Contribute to CrowdStrike’s mission of safeguarding organizations through its AI-driven cybersecurity platform

⛳️ Requirements

• US Citizenship or Green Card Holder

• Over 3 years of experience in a large-scale production environment

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in a computer-related discipline

• Willingness and capacity to travel occasionally for business-related group meetings

• Proficiency in working effectively and professionally with cross-functional teams across global divisions

• Ability to collaborate with a distributed team across various time zones

• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to make sound, timely decisions

• Proven self-learning abilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with Chef, Python, Go, etc. is a plus

• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business results
