This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Conduct investigations and respond to cybersecurity incidents, such as phishing, malware, ransomware, and unauthorized access attempts.
• Evaluate logs, alerts, and forensic data to assess the scope and impact of incidents.
• Refer complex or high-severity incidents to Engineer III, Lead, or Principal staff, providing clear documentation and evidence.
• Aid in containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
• Create and maintain SOC playbooks, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Work collaboratively with threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and forensics teams.
• Engage in lessons-learned sessions and suggest enhancements to SOC processes and tools.
• Mentor junior analysts by sharing insights and offering guidance on investigative methods.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, incident response strategies, and adversary tactics.
• Familiarity with NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and ISO 27035 frameworks.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including a minimum of 3 years in SOC operations or incident response.
• Practical experience with SIEM, EDR, and forensic tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, and Wireshark.
• Capability to analyze logs, alerts, and artifacts during incident investigations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience is necessary.
• At least 2 years of experience in incident response, security operations (SOC), or a related technical field is required.
• Strong expertise in a primary technical area, such as Endpoint Forensics, with working knowledge of at least one adjacent area, like Cloud Security.
• Relevant industry certifications are preferred, including GCIH, CySA+, and CEH.
