Mid-Level Incident Response Analyst – DFIR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the identification, containment, and elimination of critical security incidents throughout the entire incident lifecycle.

• Conduct forensic analyses and ensure the preservation of digital evidence following best practices and chain-of-custody protocols.

• Create, revise, and implement incident response playbooks and runbooks.

• Monitor and analyze alerts in EDR/XDR tools to identify anomalies and enhance security measures.

• Generate executive and technical-legal reports detailing root causes and impacts.

• Carry out post-incident reviews and recommend mitigation and strengthening strategies.

• Engage in crisis simulation exercises.

• Provide mentorship to junior SOC N1 analysts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline or a relevant postgraduate qualification in Information Security.

• Demonstrated, significant mid-level experience in incident response and cyber crisis management.

• Practical experience in digital forensics and evidence gathering.

• Comprehensive understanding and strong technical skills with EDR/XDR tools and detection systems.

• Capability to produce technical-legal reports that support internal processes and audits.

• Well-structured knowledge of ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls methodologies and frameworks.

• Certifications in Incident Response and Digital Forensics, such as GCIH, CHFI, and ECIH.

• Previous experience collaborating directly with SOC and CTI (Cyber Threat Intelligence) teams.
