Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design and validation in the field of electrical and camera systems and components for on/off-highway vocational mobile equipment.

• Development of project timelines, scope of work documents, and work instructions.

• Collaboration with suppliers to select electrical system components.

• Creation and maintenance of software for PLCs/Controllers and Camera Systems.

• Support for production and field technicians with electrical system diagnostics.

• Willingness to travel up to 30-40% of the time and to work overtime and weekends as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a relevant work environment is required.

• Desired software skills include: Microsoft Office; PRO-E or other 3D modeling software, AutoCAD.

• Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)/Controller software.

• Background in circuit design with electromechanical components.

• Expertise in mobile equipment harness design.

• Familiarity with vehicle-mounted camera and recording systems.

• Proven experience in resolving electrical issues on the production floor of mobile equipment.

• Experience in troubleshooting field issues while interacting with customers.

• Ability to select suppliers and components for electrical materials.

• Development of testing and validation plans for electrical systems.

• Required understanding of J1939 communications standards.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics is essential.
