Engagement Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver an outstanding customer service experience in a phone-based setting.

• Handle a significant volume of incoming calls from existing patients.

• Address patient inquiries as an ExactCare specialist.

• Make outbound calls to patients to establish, maintain, or update their medication profiles.

• Provide effective assistance with patient inquiries over the phone.

• Navigate current case queues to resolve patient care challenges.

• Act as a bridge between clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals on behalf of patients.

• Conduct claim adjudication and auditing tasks.

• Maintain patient records with a keen eye for detail and confidentiality.

• Apply extensive drug knowledge to obtain prescription authorizations, clarifications, or transfers.

• Process prescription information promptly and accurately.

• Conduct welcome calls to newly onboarded patients.

• Collaborate with technicians and pharmacists to ensure the successful onboarding of new patients.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA).

• Must hold a current pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Previous experience in a pharmacy environment.

• Comfortable working in a phone-based setting.

• Ability to work independently.

• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.

• Exceptional customer service abilities.

• Comprehensive drug knowledge.

• Understanding of pharmacy billing processes.

• Familiarity with procedures for taking prescriptions, clarifications, and transfers.

• Proficient in using computer equipment and technology, and capable of working across multiple software applications.

• Strong prioritization and organizational capabilities.

• Commitment to maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

• Passion for helping others and enhancing their lives.

• Ability to overcome objections.

• Critical thinking skills and the ability to document relevant details in a compliant manner.
