This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
β’ Create, train, and assess deep learning models focused on segmentation, landmark detection, registration, and 3D anatomical modeling.
β’ Develop artificial intelligence solutions to assist with image-guided interventions such as surgical planning, navigation, and tumor ablation.
β’ Construct image processing workflows for DICOM/NIfTI volumetric data spanning X-ray, CT, and MRI modalities.
β’ Evaluate extensive clinical imaging datasets and enhance data quality.
β’ Design reproducible experiments and assess performance using suitable statistical techniques.
β’ Produce high-quality, well-tested code and work collaboratively with engineering teams on system integration.
β’ Assist in verification and validation activities for the development of regulated medical devices.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Biomedical/Electrical/Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
β’ More than 2 years of professional or graduate research experience in medical image analysis, computer vision, or deep learning (including graduate research and internships).
β’ Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch, NumPy, and Git.
β’ Experience with at least one medical imaging library: MONAI, ITK/SimpleITK, VTK, or OpenCV.
β’ Knowledge of DICOM/NIfTI standards and familiarity with 3D volumetric imaging techniques (CT, MRI, X-ray).
β’ Working knowledge of CNNs, U-Net, Vision Transformers, as well as segmentation and registration processes.
β’ Comfortable working within Linux environments.
