This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee and evaluate electricity, natural gas, and renewable energy certificate (REC) markets.
• Generate market insights, reports, and analytics to aid trading and risk management strategies.
• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting portfolio performance.
• Enhance and maintain pricing, forecasting, and hedging tools.
• Guarantee the accuracy and integrity of portfolio data and reporting systems.
• Assess volumetric exposure, pricing risks, and metrics related to portfolio performance.
• Assist with scenario analysis and risk modeling efforts.
• Aid in identifying optimization and supply opportunities for the portfolio.
• Play a role in strategic decision-making concerning energy procurement and asset management.
• Streamline workflows through automation and advanced analytics tools.
• Support the adoption of AI and data-driven solutions for forecasting and reporting purposes.
• Improve operational efficiency across portfolio management activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address data and operational challenges.
• Contribute to wider commercial initiatives across trading, operations, and origination teams.
• Foster a collaborative, fast-paced, and solution-oriented culture.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in energy markets, portfolio analytics, risk management, trading support, or similar roles.
• Preferred experience in power, renewable energy certificates (RECs), and/or natural gas markets.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Experience in forecasting, pricing, hedging, or risk analytics is preferred.
• Familiarity with automation tools, scripting languages, AI applications, or business intelligence platforms is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Competitive compensation package with a salary range of $90,000–$110,000, based on experience.
