This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess potential opportunities for energy savings and demand reduction, encompassing both operational modifications and capital initiatives.
• Analyze interval data (15-minute/hourly) from utility and sub-meters to define load profiles, pinpoint demand charge drivers, and identify anomalies.
• Implement MBCx workflows, including establishing baselines, ongoing performance monitoring, and verifying savings persistence; identify and present operational ECMs to facility stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and execution of campus metering systems (electricity, gas, steam, chilled water); create specifications and single-line diagrams; oversee meter commissioning and integration with EMIS/DAS.
• Configure, deploy, and manage fault detection and diagnostics (FDD) rule sets within EMIS/analytics platforms; prioritize fault alerts and generate fault impact estimates to aid in O&M decision-making.
• Measure and verify the effectiveness of energy management initiatives over time.
• Produce clear technical reports and presentations that translate complex analytics into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
• At least 3 years of experience in energy engineering, building performance analysis, or a related field.
• Additional Qualifications: CEM, CMVP, or CCP certification.
• Previous experience in customer-facing roles or consulting.
• Practical experience in troubleshooting, retro-commissioning, or monitoring-based commissioning of HVAC systems and central heating and cooling plants.
• Familiarity with measurement and verification methods and protocols.
• Proficient knowledge of BAS/BMS platforms.
• Experience in energy and data analysis, including data-driven modeling, interval meter data analysis, and identifying energy efficiency and demand reduction opportunities for HVAC, cooling, heating plants, and distributed energy resources.
• Proficient in advanced data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, R).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; high emotional intelligence; a solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
