This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Recruit and engage business, institutional, and commercial customers via email and phone communications.
• Take ownership of pipelines and accounts from start to finish, enhancing long-term account management.
• Oversee a larger and more complex portfolio to achieve increased kWh savings.
• Facilitate client meetings and accurately address customer inquiries.
• Offer recommendations and remote assistance for participants implementing energy-saving initiatives.
• Analyze data to prioritize accounts, refine outreach strategies, make informed decisions, and monitor savings objectives.
• Clarify how metrics guide recommendations and decision-making processes.
• Utilize data to suggest actions for common facility types.
• Track smart meter data following the implementation of recommended changes.
• Collaborate with the internal Measurement and Verification team to validate energy savings.
• Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement in the Energy Advisor role and related processes.
• Resolve common issues and provide informal guidance within the team.
• Engage in knowledge-sharing, team discussions, and initiatives to foster a positive team atmosphere.
• Strategize to achieve individual goals that align with team success.
• Adapt to changes and persevere through challenges.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer-facing demand-side management (DSM), including energy auditing or advising in commercial, industrial, or residential contexts.
• 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in sales or business development.
• At least 6 months of experience engaging prospective participants through cold calls, emails, and meetings.
• 6+ months of experience in collaborative problem-solving with prospective businesses and executing energy-saving actions.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Outreach.io.
• Proficient in data analysis and interpretation to identify and address issues.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency concepts and their application.
• Strong sales skills and a drive to meet objectives.
• Ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain positive and professional communication under pressure.
• Self-driven with a robust work ethic.
• Capability to thrive in a remote team environment while giving and receiving feedback.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Bilingual skills are an advantage.
