Endpoint Systems Engineer, L2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Conduct **patching and updates for client systems** utilizing **Kaseya VSA**.

• Oversee and implement operating system and application patches via **Microsoft Intune**.

• Assist in patching operations using **Datto RMM**, which includes monitoring, troubleshooting failures, and ensuring effective deployment.

• Create and uphold **patch compliance reports**, ensuring that systems adhere to security and compliance standards.

• Install, update, and manage **third-party applications** across endpoint devices.

• Employ **PowerShell scripting** to automate endpoint processes, enhance efficiency, and address recurring issues.

• Ensure endpoint performance, stability, and security across various environments.

• Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and patch-related issues through the **ConnectWise ticketing system**.

• Operate independently on L2-level tasks while escalating complex issues as necessary.

• Adhere to defined SLAs and operational processes in a fast-paced, ticket-driven environment.

• Keep precise endpoint documentation and asset visibility with **Liongard**.

• Aid in **remediating an existing backlog of Liongard deployments** by:

• - Assessing and correcting failed or incomplete inspections.

• - Re-establishing connections and configurations.

• - Cleaning up and validating asset data.

• - Ensuring endpoint configurations and asset records are updated and trustworthy.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in endpoint management, systems engineering, or desktop support roles.

• Strong hands-on expertise in **endpoint patching** and update management.

• Familiarity with one or more RMM/MDM tools such as **Kaseya VSA, Microsoft Intune, or Datto RMM**.

• Knowledge of **ConnectWise** or similar ITSM/ticketing systems.

• Proficiency in **PowerShell scripting**.

• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

• Capability to work autonomously in an L2 capacity with minimal supervision.

• Experience in a **Managed Services Provider (MSP)** setting.

• Previous experience with **Liongard**, especially in asset management and remediation.

• Familiarity with patch compliance reporting and audit support.

• Understanding of endpoint security best practices.
