• The Employment Tax Leader/Expert is responsible for supporting global employment tax compliance in over 100 countries.
• Collaborating with senior tax directors, payroll teams, and various cross-functional stakeholders.
• Overseeing end-to-end tax processes and audits.
• Analyzing legislative changes and providing technical guidance to ensure accurate filings and mitigate risks.
• Contributing to tax planning initiatives, promoting policy and process enhancements, and utilizing technology, including AI, to improve global tax operations.
• Keeping abreast of legislative and regulatory changes in tax law and advising on necessary adjustments to maintain compliance for a designated region and/or specific countries.
• Assisting in the development and execution of tax planning strategies in collaboration with senior tax directors and other supporting functions.
• Monitoring internal tax trends, summarizing risk exposure, and identifying opportunities for policy/process improvements to mitigate or reduce risks.
• Employing enabling tools such as AI to enhance tax compliance on a global scale.
• A proven history of delivering precise and compliant payroll/employment tax, accounting work, or experience with a law firm.
• Familiarity with Global Equity and/or Travel & Living programs.
• Experience with multinational employers, particularly in their payroll and/or tax programs, including international assignments and global mobility initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and utilize data insights to inform decision-making and process improvements.
• Comfortable conducting research on complex legislative requirements and making technical interpretations of government regulations.
• Working knowledge of taxation requirements related to employee benefit offerings, including equity awards, pensions, social security, health and welfare, and other fringe benefits.
• Capable of independently leading and acting as the primary contact for government audits.
• Proficient in delivering presentations to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, and skilled in facilitating discussions as the tax subject-matter expert.
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve issues, critically evaluate, and apply sound judgment to complex tasks or problems.
• High proficiency in the Microsoft suite of applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• A proactive learner with a strong “can-do” attitude towards new challenges.
• Exceptional time management and prioritization capabilities.
• Proficient in English and preferably at least one additional language.
• Consideration for professional qualifications.
