This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Participate in a one-time online survey or interview regarding everyday practices in emergency medicine.
• Supply precise details about the responsibilities and decisions involved in emergency medicine.
• Outline tasks related to clinical operations, patient management, triage, evaluation, stabilization, and disposition.
• Clarify responses to urgent and high-risk medical scenarios.
• Articulate the professional judgment necessary to avert death or further disability.
• Offer insights on managing and coordinating the staff within the emergency department.
• Assess the accuracy and completeness of emergency medicine responsibility descriptions.
• Differentiate the work of emergency medicine physicians from related healthcare professions.
• Identify any missing, outdated, or ambiguous task descriptions.
• Engage in optional follow-up surveys, tasks, or brief interviews if invited.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in emergency medicine practice.
• Currently employed in emergency medicine or have held a similar role within the last 12 months.
• Direct experience with triage, urgent clinical decision-making, patient stabilization, and disposition.
• Experience working independently in an emergency department setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of emergency department workflows and physician duties.
• Capability to articulate professional tasks clearly and accurately.
• Must reside in the United States.
• A medical degree and professional credentials that enable independent practice as an emergency medicine physician in the United States.
• Completion of postgraduate clinical training in emergency medicine is highly desirable.
• Professional experience demonstrating independent physician-level responsibility.
• Residents and fellows who have not yet practiced independently are ineligible.
• Compensation of up to $110 per hour.
• Additional payment for optional extra work.
