Strategic Sourcing Category Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Responsible for overseeing, guiding, and directing the functional duties within a designated area.

• Facilitate ministry-level or enterprise-wide functional strategies to address internal or external business and regulatory challenges.

• Offer functional expertise and guarantee the achievement of performance and service standards.

• Accountable for maintaining consistent operational performance and reaching financial objectives.

• Identify, define, and resolve complex problems that influence the management and direction of the business.

• Collaborate with Services Areas, Regions, and Health Ministries to ensure strategic and operational consistency while staying informed of new industry trends and standards.

• Provide decision support and focus on operations and/or optimization leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with major coursework in business, supply chain management, data science, or a clinical discipline.

• A minimum of seven (7) years of sourcing experience.

• In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles and practices with a proven ability to conduct financial analysis.

• Extensive knowledge and expertise in advanced data analytics and procurement practices.

• Proficient in intermediate to advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar applications.

• Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills.

• Ability to rapidly develop a fact-based understanding of the current supplier landscape and key trends in relevant markets.

• Familiarity with contract law and governing regulations, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively with internal legal counsel for optimal contracting.
