Embedded Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop edge software tailored for connected devices in automated retail or industrial settings.

• Integrate edge devices with various components such as sensors, screens, peripherals, connectivity modules, and backend systems.

• Execute local state management, diagnostics, logging, and fallback mechanisms.

• Facilitate dependable device-to-cloud communication.

• Collaborate with backend, AI, product, and field teams to link real machines to the platform.

• Assist in selecting edge hardware, operating systems, device management patterns, and deployment tools.

• Provide support for prototypes, demonstrations, and initial field trials.

• Troubleshoot actual devices under real operating conditions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with embedded systems, edge computing, industrial IoT, robotics, kiosks, POS systems, vending machines, or hardware-connected solutions.

• Proficient programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Rust, Go, Python, or similar.

• Familiarity with Linux-based edge devices.

• Knowledge of hardware interfaces, networking, sensors, USB, serial communication, GPIO, or related technologies.

• Capability to debug real-world device challenges.

• Understanding of device identity, logging, updates, connectivity, and remote assistance.

• Fluency in English is mandatory.

• Must Haves:

• Experience working with payment terminals, kiosks, vending machines, industrial devices, retail automation, or connected hardware fleets.

• Proficiency in OTA updates, secure provisioning, device management, or fleet monitoring.

• Experience with embedded Linux, industrial PCs, Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, microcontrollers, or similar platforms.

• Background in local AI inference, cameras, audio, or sensor processing.
