This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in email marketing, with a focus on crafting high-impact email copy, encompassing subject lines, preview text, main content, and calls to action, customized to specific brand voices.
• Create and oversee one-off campaigns (promotions, events, launches, seasonal initiatives, newsletters) as well as automated flows (welcome series, post-purchase follow-ups, win-back campaigns, abandoned cart reminders, browse abandonment, VIP or loyalty programs, birthday messages, reorder alerts).
• Formulate and sustain segmentation strategies based on customer behavior, lifecycle phases, purchasing habits, engagement levels, and intent.
• Collaborate with our client designers by delivering precise and clear creative direction (hierarchy, CTA placement, mobile responsiveness, accessibility, balance between images and text, brand consistency, and best practices for conversion). While you will not be designing, you will ensure the email is fully optimized.
• Take responsibility for deliverability and performance hygiene, which includes best practices for list growth, engagement management, sender reputation, and continuous testing to enhance open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
• Execute robust tracking and measurement strategies, including UTM conventions, platform reporting, alignment of analytics when relevant, and clear insights following email sends.
• Assist in the strategy and execution of SMS and push notifications to forge seamless cross-channel customer journeys (timing, cadence, message hierarchy).
• Conduct A/B tests and continuously refine results (subject lines, offers, creative formats, segmentation, send timing, and frequency).
• Exceptional written English skills with a demonstrated ability to write in various tones and voices, accompanied by meticulous attention to detail.
• In-depth knowledge of email marketing best practices, including fundamentals of deliverability, list management, segmentation, frequency and cadence, compliance basics, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of customer psychology and the ability to align messaging with intent and lifecycle (delivering the right message to the right person at the right time).
• Experience in building and managing both one-off campaign emails and trigger-based automated flows (drip and lifecycle).
• Proficient in major Email Service Providers (ESPs) such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and Constant Contact (familiarity with others like Attentive, Customer.io, Paytronix, or Thanx is a plus).
• Experience in coordinating with creative teams and providing actionable feedback that enhances conversion rates and ensures brand consistency.
• Bonus points: Experience working with brands in the restaurant, hospitality, food and beverage, or retail and ecommerce sectors.
• Familiarity with SMS campaigns and push notifications, along with an understanding of how to mitigate channel overlap and fatigue.
• Ability to present measurable outcomes (increased revenue, click-through rates, conversion rates, improvements in deliverability, and flow performance).
