This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.
• Create and implement approximately 100 transactional and lifecycle emails in Maropost, including order confirmations, shipping notifications, refunds, cancellations, account updates, abandoned cart messages, welcome/onboarding emails, reorder flows, product review requests, and promotional campaigns.
• Design a reusable, modular component library along with a global header/footer system that aligns with the client’s new design framework.
• Utilize Liquid-based dynamic templates with conditional logic for variables such as customer type (e.g., preferred customer versus unaffiliated buyer), autoship versus non-autoship, affiliate flows, subscription lifecycle events, and lead routing.
• Set up multi-country and multi-language localization.
• Review the client's existing Mandrill email inventory and transition flows to Maropost (or assist with a hybrid approach if necessary).
• Connect Shopify triggers to Maropost flows; ensure end-to-end functionality is validated alongside the broader platform migration.
• Collaborate with subscription tools (Seal Subscriptions) for subscription-related email events.
• Assist in a dedicated QA phase that encompasses business logic variability, localization, deliverability, and rendering across major clients and devices.
• Document templates, components, and conditional logic to enable the client's marketing team to maintain and expand the system after launch.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical email development experience with production builds within an ESP.
• Preferably, direct experience with Maropost. However, experienced developers from Klaviyo, Iterable, Braze, Customer.io, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar platforms will be considered if you can adapt quickly.
• Previous experience with executing an ESP migration, ideally from Mandrill to another platform.
• Strong proficiency in Liquid templating (or equivalent ESP templating languages).
• Advanced HTML/CSS skills for email: including tables, inline styles, MSO conditional comments, dark mode handling, and responsive techniques that function well in Outlook.
• Experience in integrating an ESP with Shopify (or a similar e-commerce platform), including event-triggered transactional flows.
• Ability to accurately translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect production templates.
• High attention to detail concerning conditional logic, edge cases, and localization variations.
• Familiarity with email QA tools such as Litmus, Email on Acid, or similar platforms.
• Type: Contract, with the possibility of extending into post-launch optimization and ongoing marketing campaigns.
• Duration: Approximately 2 months of active development; targeted completion before late-August UAT for a September launch.
• Commitment: Full-time preferred; minimum of 30+ hours per week.
• Location: Remote.
