Email Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of email design from start to finish, encompassing lifecycle and automated flows, campaigns, newsletters, and transactional emails.

• Collaborate with the content team to establish structure, hierarchy, and the interplay between copy and visuals.

• Work alongside the design team to ensure email aligns with the brand system and expands through email components and templates.

• Create modular, reusable templates.

• Design with a mobile-first approach, considering dark mode and various email clients.

• Leverage open rates, click-through rates, and conversion data to inform design decisions and conduct tests.

• Deliver initial versions swiftly and refine them based on feedback.

• Provide and receive constructive feedback.

• Assist with marketing campaigns and product initiatives beyond email as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6+ years of design experience in brand, digital, product, or a combination, with a primary emphasis on digital.

• A portfolio that showcases product screens, campaign work, web design, and projects beyond digital marketing.

• Strong foundational skills in typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and interaction design.

• Knowledge of how email renders across different clients and devices.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and switch contexts effectively.

• Speed and attention to detail in craft.

• Proficiency in Figma.

• Self-motivated and proactive.

• A genuine interest in health, wellness, or human performance.

• HTML/CSS email coding skills are a plus.

• Familiarity with Klaviyo, Customer.io, Braze or similar platforms is advantageous.

• Experience in lifecycle or CRM design with demonstrable results is preferred.

• Skills in motion, GIF, or video creation are a bonus.

• Experience in early-stage startups is a plus.

• A background in health, wellness, or mission-driven initiatives is beneficial.

• A portfolio URL showcasing email or lifecycle design examples is required for application.
