This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Oversee instructional programs for elementary students using telephone, Internet, and curriculum resources.
• Facilitate both asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous teaching.
• Manage grading, generate progress reports, and hold parent conferences.
• Engage in communication with parents, students, teachers, curriculum specialists, and learning coaches.
• Create and revise Personal Learning Plans and schedules.
• Evaluate assessments, offer feedback, recommend instructional strategies, oversee assignments, and guide special projects.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the assigned grade-level curriculum along with general K–12 curriculum knowledge.
• Provide alternative strategies and additional support for assignments and projects.
• Keep cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance records, and contact logs current.
• Collaborate with learning specialists to design enrichment activities and modify student programs.
• Propose social activities and field trips; manage regional field trips and align them with the curriculum.
• Establish and nurture a virtual school community.
• Participate in the organization and administration of state testing.
• Engage in student recruitment sessions and marketing initiatives requiring teacher involvement.
• Review curriculum and develop alternative instructional approaches.
• Attend field trips and community events.
• Fulfill other assigned responsibilities.
• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach elementary grades in Minnesota, suitable for grade-level duties.
• Proficient in technology, particularly with Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Highly organized and punctual in work habits.
• Customer-centric mindset.
• High level of adaptability.
• Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong history of teamwork.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events, which may include overnight stays.
• Ability to work remotely.
• Availability to work some evening hours as necessary to assist families.
