Electronics Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Transition hardware from the prototyping phase to production.

• Perform hand-soldering and rework on fine-pitch surface-mount components, including QFN and 0402 packages.

• Troubleshoot battery-powered embedded electronics at the board level across analog, digital, and power domains.

• Assemble and initiate small robotic systems in both R&D and production environments.

• Contribute to process enhancements as production volumes increase.

• Maintain test procedures, build documentation, and reproducible work records.

• Create and modify Python scripts on Linux for testing, data acquisition, and instrument control.

• Design, construct, document, and validate custom test fixtures and equipment.

• May oversee assembly technicians during testing, prototyping, and production tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as specified in the job details.

• Proven expertise in fine-pitch soldering and rework techniques.

• Capability to interpret schematics and PCB layouts.

• Practical knowledge of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and bench power supplies.

• Adequate proficiency in Python and Linux to independently maintain test automation.

• Mechanical skills for assembly and fixture tasks.

• At least three years of experience in a hardware role within the industry (manufacturing, R&D, contract electronics, or similar).

• An associate degree in electronics or electrical technology, relevant vocational or military training, or comparable qualifications.

• Ability to sit or stand for up to four hours continuously.

• Capacity to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.

• Competence to use a ladder and occasionally work overhead.
