Electrical Testing Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Visit customer locations and independently carry out comprehensive electrical testing and inspections.

• Perform NFPA compliance testing, ATS testing, inspections of energized and de-energized switchboards, infrared thermography, and installation and reading of power meters.

• Utilize the complete range of electrical testing instruments on both live and de-energized electrical systems.

• Interpret and adhere to one-line diagrams; make necessary adjustments to produce accurate as-built drawings.

• Oversee field documentation, which includes digital photography and organization of photos, uploading files to shared storage, and entering data into spreadsheets and reporting tools.

• Apply arc flash labels to electrical equipment.

• Generate reports for the inspections conducted.

• Cultivate the entire customer relationship on-site by demonstrating professionalism and identifying opportunities to refer cross-sell leads to the sales team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 5 years of pertinent experience.

• Familiarity with NFPA 70E; capable of conducting NFPA compliance testing independently in the field.

• Proficient in operating the full spectrum of electrical testing equipment on both live and de-energized electrical systems.

• Experience in inspections of energized and de-energized switchboards, ATS testing, and power meter installation.

• Capability to read and interpret one-line diagrams.

• Skilled in standard field technology including digital photography, cloud file storage, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or technical degree is preferred.

• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel by air; must live within one hour of a major airport.

• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds and be able to walk, stand, and crawl for extended periods.

• Must be a resident of the United States.
