This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct power system analyses, including load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, grounding, insulation coordination, and transient stability evaluations.
• Assist in the design of transmission lines and substations by providing study-based recommendations for equipment ratings, relay coordination, and system layout.
• Create and assess electrical system models utilizing ETAP, ASPEN OneLiner, CYME, PSCAD, or PSS®E.
• Analyze system performance under standard and contingency conditions to ensure reliability and compliance with protection standards.
• Draft technical reports, calculations, and design documentation that summarize study findings and recommendations.
• Work in collaboration with protection and controls, physical design, and project management teams.
• Offer technical support to clients and internal teams throughout project planning, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Guarantee that deliverables adhere to IEEE, NESC, ANSI, NERC, and other industry standards, as well as internal QA/QC processes.
• Engage in meetings with clients and interdepartmental teams to present results and discuss solutions for system performance challenges.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably with a concentration in Power Systems).
• 2–5 years of experience conducting electrical studies for transmission and/or substation projects.
• Proficient in using one or more power system analysis tools, including ETAP, ASPEN, CYME, PSS®E, or PSCAD.
• Strong grasp of transmission and substation design fundamentals, equipment functionality, and protection coordination.
• Familiarity with IEEE, NESC, NEMA, ANSI, and IEC standards.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• EIT certification is mandatory.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
