This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Provide a detailed overview of your daily and project-specific workflows.
β’ Discuss actual (appropriately anonymized) projects to clarify the design intent behind your work.
β’ Evaluate product ideas and initial prototypes: share candid insights on their potential time savings, associated risks, and weaknesses when applied in real-world scenarios.
β’ Assist in identifying where electrical systems interface with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural elements, and where coordination and clash detection may fail.
β’ Distinguish between engineering judgment that is essential and repetitive processes that could be automated.
β’ Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in electrical engineering or possess equivalent senior-level experience, having led the design of power, lighting, and low-voltage systems for real building projects.
β’ Proficient in software such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and electrical design/calculation tools (e.g., SKM PowerTools, ETAP, AGi32).
β’ Possess a deep curiosity about the mechanics of systems and the capability to articulate the rationale behind current practices.
β’ Have strong opinions regarding the workflows within your discipline, including identifying areas that require improvement.
β’ Competitive hourly compensation.
