Electrical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist the engineering team with Aligned’s technical subjects and issues.

• Collaborate closely with both internal and external design teams to guarantee technical adherence.

• Play a vital role in activities ranging from initial design direction to annual site evaluations and assessing advanced technologies.

• Elevate Aligned’s technical capabilities and improve performance across various work streams.

• Provide review and support for electrical technical standards and their updates.

• Offer review and support for all phases of design deliverables.

• Aid in content preparation and presentations to secure business approvals.

• Support conceptual and directional design choices at the outset.

• Review and provide support for major equipment product commitments.

• Review and support commissioning scripts and procedures.

• Assist with technical investigations and troubleshooting.

• Provide technical support for site performance shortcomings, failures, and resolution of issues.

• Engage with industry and vendor interactions to stay informed about leading technologies.

• Collaborate with customer technical requirements to ensure Aligned remains updated with industry advancements.

• Lead technical reviews and validation of new technologies.

• Exhibit technical leadership in understanding and assessing sustainable practices.

• Convey complex topics to workgroups with varying levels of technical expertise.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical design, construction, and operations within data centers or mission-critical environments.

• PE License in the Electrical field is preferred.

• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.

• Skilled in interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications.

• Ability to comprehend construction project scopes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in troubleshooting technical issues during startup and commissioning is preferred.

• Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 25% of the time.
