This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
β’ Work closely with product owners and technical leads to gather and define requirements for next-generation data centers.
β’ Assist in establishing global build standards for data center power systems, collaborating with internal teams to create execution strategies and manage lifecycle processes.
β’ Modify DSX and electrical system reference designs for AI Factory implementations.
β’ Perform technical assessments from site selection to site turnover, which includes contractor selection, development of bid packages, build reviews, responding to RFIs, conducting submittal reviews, and providing commissioning support.
β’ Offer technical assistance for construction and commissioning challenges, collaborating with both internal and external teams to ensure seamless development and effective product lifecycle management.
β’ Standardize quality approvals in electrical engineering, process controls, product evaluations, vendor proposals, and automated testing methodologies.
β’ Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a PE License or equivalent experience.
β’ Over 12 years of professional experience in data center construction or build projects.
β’ In-depth knowledge of electrical power pathways from utility distribution, encompassing high, medium, and low voltage systems for IT and mechanical applications to the rack.
β’ Proficiency in power distribution systems for UPS, generators, floor PDUs, RPPs, busway, power supplies/power shelves, chillers, cooling towers, CRAC, and CRAH units.
β’ Familiarity with electrical construction and operational modifications related to high power rack densities, along with expert knowledge of short circuit coordination and arc flash analysis.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, controls, life safety protocols, and IT networking systems relevant to critical environments.
β’ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, with a history of conducting root cause analyses in high-pressure situations.
β’ Experience with Level 1-5 commissioning and direct-to-chip liquid cooling technologies.
β’ Solid understanding of the Sequence of Operations (SOO) for controlling electrical systems.
