This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Supervise the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of Leep Utilities’ assets.
• Oversee on-site contractors, ensuring that all operational activities adhere to required standards.
• Establish, monitor, and evaluate contracts to ensure service level guarantees and key performance indicators are met.
• Report performance metrics and issues to the Director level.
• Ensure operational practices align with the business's needs.
• Execute activities in accordance with the department’s Terms of Agreement (ToA) and RACI matrix.
• Utilize current templates, ensure accurate documentation, and properly store records.
• Comprehend and implement regulatory and contractual obligations across the portfolio.
• Assist the UK Electric Operations Manager with site operations and maintenance.
• Manage the daily operations of High and Low Voltage networks.
• Supervise financial procedures, including purchase orders, invoicing, and budget management.
• Review and tender operational contracts as necessary.
• Ensure effective contractor management processes are in place and adhered to.
• Maintain asset and operational compliance with all applicable legislation.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure new assets are transitioned with complete and adoptable records.
• Ensure comprehensive site inspections and contractor performance evaluations are conducted.
• Uphold high standards of health & safety, quality, and environmental compliance for subcontracted services.
• Participate in the electrical or Control Engineer on-call rota.
• Extensive knowledge of the utilities sector and its regulatory framework.
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical networks.
• Proven track record of managing utility contractors with an emphasis on quality, safety, and compliance.
• In-depth understanding of HV/LV network operations, maintenance, and asset management.
• Solid understanding of health & safety systems and audit processes.
• Familiarity with electricity sector regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in operational IT systems, reporting tools, and documentation practices.
• Adaptable, proactive, and dedicated to continuous learning.
• Effective communicator with strong relationship-building capabilities.
• Knowledgeable in Quality Management Systems and related audits.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with teams, contractors, and operational staff.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
