This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Oversee language proficiency screenings and state ELL assessments, ensuring compliance with state timelines.
• Engage in the planning and execution of State Testing.
• Attend professional development training sessions provided locally and at the state level concerning ELL requirements.
• Assist the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction by offering curriculum support and strategies for ELL students.
• Achieve proficiency with supplemental programs that aid English Language Learners in a virtual environment, including interpreting data from these programs.
• Analyze curriculum and develop alternative methods for lesson presentation to enhance student comprehension, working directly with both students and parents.
• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and fellow educators to create and revise LEP plans and schedules, evaluate assessments, provide feedback on student submissions, recommend instructional strategies, oversee assignment completion, and mentor on special projects.
• Collaborate with other teachers to ensure all students are making progress in the program, that parents have a primary point of contact, and that responsibilities are shared among the educators.
• Cultivate a general understanding of the K-12 curriculum across the entire program.
• Offer alternative strategies to support ELL students and their families.
• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and certified content area teachers via computer and telephone.
• Keep student records and data current, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance records, and documentation of all student and parent interactions.
• Participate in field trips and other community events organized for families.
• Develop and implement virtual strategies to foster and sustain a “school community.”
• Collaborate with the Special Populations manager and team to ensure appropriate communications are delivered to students and families, monitor student progress, and confirm that established goals are achieved.
• Engage in professional development opportunities and related activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Oregon Teacher Certification with ESL/ESOL endorsement is required.
• Previous experience teaching ELL students is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred.
• Proficient technology skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Highly organized and punctual.

• High degree of adaptability and flexibility.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A track record of being a team player.
• Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events, which may involve occasional overnight stays.
• Availability to work some evenings as needed to assist families.
