This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and/or direct engineering teams engaged in EHV transmission line projects.
• Lead and manage engineering teams responsible for delivering EHV transmission line designs for electric utilities, COOPs, and developers.
• Provide expert technical support for the design of 500kV and 765kV transmission lines.
• Collaborate with both internal and external departments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Execute engineering projects and create technical design deliverables.
• Supervise and guide project teams.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Maintain productive relationships with client functional leads and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed successfully, on schedule, and within budget constraints.
• Communicate and consult effectively with stakeholders and supervisors.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure adherence to specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Conduct independent reviews of engineering designs, calculations, and drawings.
• Prepare clear and concise project reports.
• Analyze challenges and provide solutions to enhance outcomes.
• No sponsorship for U.S. work authorization is available.
• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program or a degree in management/business.
• Over 10 years of specific experience in project management related to utility transmission projects.
• More than 5 years of experience in the design of 500kV and/or 765kV transmission lines.
• Expertise in electrical considerations related to 765kV transmission lines.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, and ANSI engineering standards.
• Experience acting as a liaison between the firm and clients in a supportive or leadership capacity.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel to project locations and/or participate in client meetings.
• Master’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program (preferred but not mandatory).
• PE license (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience with PLS-CADD and PLS-TOWER software (preferred but not mandatory).
• PMP certification (preferred but not mandatory).
