This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Deliver daily technical assistance to EHR end-users, troubleshoot problems, respond to inquiries, and rectify system errors.
• Record, monitor, document, and manage support requests within the service management system.
• Elevate issues and involve necessary resources when appropriate.
• Conduct software updates, patches, upgrades, and regular EHR maintenance.
• Take part in on-call rotations for urgent after-hours system issues.
• Test and validate system modifications, enhancements, and upgrades following change management protocols.
• Aid in EHR implementation projects, system upgrades, and various initiatives.
• Configure and adjust EHR systems to facilitate healthcare provider workflows and sanctioned optimizations.
• Document build decisions and configuration alterations.
• Engage in workflow discovery sessions and cross-functional project teams.
• Create and present end-user training materials and sessions.
• Assist during go-live activations and provide on-the-spot support throughout system transitions.
• Collaborate with EHR vendor support, keep track of release notes, and participate in user group sessions.
• Maintain records of system configurations, user procedures, and support issues.
• Foster and maintain relationships with clinical and operational stakeholders.
• Manage protected health information in compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy and security policies.
• Complete necessary compliance training and adhere to information security standards.
• 0–2 years of experience in Information Technology, Healthcare Information Systems, Clinical Informatics, EHR Support, or a similar role.
• Background in application support, system implementation, workflow analysis, system testing, configuration, training, or end-user assistance.
• Outstanding analytical, organizational, and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within teams.
• Proficient problem-solving skills and responsiveness to customer needs.
• Familiarity with healthcare workflows, terminology, and business processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 or similar productivity tools.
• Epic certifications must be acquired within six months of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
• 1 year of relevant IT or healthcare experience is preferred.
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations, data privacy policies, and information security standards.
• Full-time, day shift schedule.
• Monday to Friday work schedule.
• Participation in on-call rotations for after-hours support coverage.
• Eligibility for additional pay components.
