This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Create and implement engaging, evidence-based playgroup sessions that aid in children’s development and enhance parental confidence.

• Establish inviting environments that foster positive interactions between children and their families.

• Organize and oversee activities that align with child development frameworks (EYLF/AEDC).

• Keep precise attendance and evaluation records.

• Lead MyTime Peer support sessions, involving carers in discussions and activities within a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

• Offer daily guidance, coaching, and assistance to Educators.

• Exemplify best practices in play-based learning and family engagement.

• Facilitate team reflection sessions and promote continuous improvement.

• Assess session quality to ensure programs remain safe, inclusive, and effective.

• Cultivate positive relationships with families from various backgrounds.

• Assist parents in building confidence and connections through play and self-care.

• Promote inclusive and culturally safe environments.

• Prioritize child safety and wellbeing at all times.

• Comply with WHS policies, identify risks, and report incidents as necessary.

• Follow the policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements set by Playgroup NSW.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Diploma (or in progress) in Early Childhood, Community Services, Social Sciences, or a related field.

• Experience engaging with children and families, particularly in community or early learning environments.

• Strong grasp of child development and play-based learning principles.

• Capability to engage and support families from diverse and vulnerable backgrounds.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and administrative skills.

• Confidence in working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Valid Working With Children Check.

• First Aid Certificate (desirable).

• Driving Licence.
