Education Specialist, Accommodation Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Offer assistance to clients and candidates within a high-volume accommodation request process.

• Examine case files to ensure documentation is complete and assess accommodation eligibility.

• Make decisions and recommendations regarding accommodations based on the information provided.

• Perform initial assessments and refer complex cases to senior members of the Accessibility and Accommodations Services team.

• Collaborate with candidates and clients to find solutions for non-standard accommodation requests across various test delivery models.

• Engage in projects involving candidates, clients, testing channels, and internal stakeholders.

• Create implementation plans and offer operational guidance for complex or unique accommodation situations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is necessary in special education, learning disabilities, psychiatric nursing, social work, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, or a related disability-focused discipline.

• At least two years of experience in a corporate, educational, healthcare, disability services, or mental health environment is required.

• Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other relevant disability-related laws and regulations.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.

• Capacity to cultivate and sustain positive relationships with candidates, clients, and internal stakeholders.

• Strong skills in conflict resolution and problem-solving.

• Effective time management, organizational, and planning skills.

• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Proficient in communicating professionally and effectively with diverse populations using tact, empathy, and sound judgment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, virtual meeting platforms, and database systems.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven ability to analyze information, make informed decisions, and document outcomes clearly and consistently.
