Education Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Assist in the initiatives of the Population and Sustainability program.

• Design educational materials and classroom activities suited for K-12 students.

• Create the Simplify the Holidays program aimed at minimizing plastic use and waste.

• Carry out research concerning plastic usage in schools and K-12 settings.

• Support campaign outreach and the distribution of resources to K-12 educators.

• Undertake additional job-related responsibilities as required.

• Capable of creative and strategic thinking.

• Experience working both in teams and independently.

• Detail-oriented with proficient time management skills.

• Excellent organizational and computer capabilities.

• Strong writing and research proficiency.

• A genuine enthusiasm for and understanding of biodiversity protection.

• Background in K-12 education is preferred.

• Familiarity with K-12 academic standards is preferred.

• Experience in curriculum development is preferred.

• Ability to communicate complex topics in simple terms is preferred.
