📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the editorial team at Outkick.com on stories and perspectives to maximize coverage of OutKick.com themes.

• Stay informed about the news cycle to guarantee OutKick is addressing all relevant news for our audience.

• Assist and support Senior Editors in overseeing the daily editorial operations of the site.

• Conduct copy-editing and fact-checking of stories prior to publication.

• Write and report as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in news, television, or digital media.

• A bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.

• Familiarity with content management systems is required.

• A strong interest and knowledge in sports, pop culture, culture, and current events.

• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proficient in SEO and social media strategies.

• Strong communication skills are essential.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends; must possess an 'on-call' mentality and be ready to work longer hours under emergency or breaking news situations.

• Exceptional news judgment.

• Experience with A.I. and a willingness to integrate A.I. into daily workflows for improved efficiency.

• Previous experience with newsletters is advantageous.

• Familiarity with digital analytics to monitor and enhance traffic is a plus.
