EDI Integration Specialist – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete onboarding and implementation process for trading partners, focusing on EDI documents such as 810, 850, 855, 856, 875, 880, 940, and 945.

• Design, develop, and implement EDI mappings (ANSI X12, XML) in accordance with business and compliance standards.

• Manage daily EDI production operations, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and uptime through effective flow monitoring.

• Develop and sustain system integrations utilizing C#, .NET, PowerShell, or comparable scripting tools.

• Identify and resolve complex challenges within EDI systems, data pipelines, and integrations.

• Suggest and execute process enhancements to boost automation, scalability, and partner satisfaction.

• Generate and maintain technical documentation related to mappings, configurations, and EDI workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required (preferably in Computer Science, IT, or Information Systems).

• 4–7+ years of practical experience in designing EDI specifications and mapping X12 and XML documents.

• 3–5+ years of experience in MSSQL T-SQL and SSIS development.

• Profound understanding of ANSI X12 (knowledge of EDIFACT is a plus).

• Familiarity with secure data exchange protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP) and VAN integrations.

• Practical experience with EDI mapping tools (e.g., MapForce).

• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools, including Jira for project tracking.

• Experience in integrating EDI with ERP systems.

• Exposure to cloud platforms, such as Azure and/or AWS.

• Acquainted with modern integration patterns (APIs, event-driven architecture).

• Background in manufacturing, supply chain, transportation, or logistics.

• Programming experience in C#, Python, or similar languages for automation purposes.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical requirements to both business and technical teams.
