This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct needs assessments and screenings via telephone and/or live chat while overseeing an inbound EAP phone/chat queue.
• Provide brief, solution-oriented, real-time supportive interventions and psychoeducation for issues such as stress, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, and substance use.
• Perform risk evaluations for members with concerns including suicidal ideation, thoughts of self-harm, substance use problems, and potential for abuse or violence.
• Deliver crisis intervention and stabilization services, including safety planning and linking to urgent or emergency resources when necessary.
• Clarify EAP clinical and work/life benefits and offer tailored recommendations to align with each member’s needs and objectives.
• Facilitate connections for members to EAP services, health insurance, or community resources, and follow up to ensure effective engagement and service connection, as clinically appropriate.
• May provide consultation and support to HR and management regarding employee performance issues, crisis assistance, or other matters within the EAP scope while upholding professional boundaries and confidentiality.
• May assist with Critical Incident Response following a workplace Disruptive Event by offering telephonic, immediate support to members and/or helping arrange onsite or virtual counseling at the workplace.
• Accurately and promptly document all interactions and activities in the electronic case management system.
• Comply with ethical standards, clinical best practices, and confidentiality obligations, including HIPAA and relevant regulations.
• Engage in individual supervision, team meetings, and case consultations.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure high-quality care for members.
• Maintain consistent attendance and availability for scheduled shifts and caseload responsibilities.
• Complete all necessary training and maintain proficiency in EAP protocols and procedures.
• Participate in the EAP on-call rotation to provide after-hours support (evenings, weekends, and holidays), typically assigned for about two weeks each calendar year.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field within behavioral health or human services.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience, ideally in Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), crisis intervention, behavioral health assessment, care management, or brief/solution-focused counseling environments.
• Active professional licensure in good standing (e.g., LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LMFT, LSW, or equivalent state credential).
• Capacity to perform efficiently in a dynamic, queue-based environment while using multiple digital platforms and electronic case management systems.
• Strong cultural competence and the ability to effectively engage with diverse populations across various workplace settings.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to produce timely, accurate clinical documentation.
