E-commerce Business Administration Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily business administration activities that support e-commerce functions.

• Manage product listings, order fulfillment, inventory, and customer information on Shopify.

• Handle multiple customer service inboxes and respond to a high volume of emails.

• Provide sales assistance through Shopify management, CRM and pipeline support, and lead research.

• Follow up on invoices and confirm payments via Shopify.

• Manage sales administration duties, including backorders and invoicing tasks.

• Proactively identify business requirements and assist with daily operations.

• Recognize operational challenges and independently devise solutions.

• Support overall business functions with commercial insight and a proactive approach.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in South Africa.

• Must be available to work during UK business hours.

• Experience with Shopify or familiarity with similar sales or wholesale systems is required.

• Strong commercial awareness and business insights are essential.

• Proficient in technology across various platforms and tools.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently.

• Proactive attitude with the ability to foresee business needs.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.

• USB headset equipped with noise cancellation is required.

• A working webcam is necessary.

• Computer should have a minimum of 1.8 GHz processor and at least 4GB of RAM.

• Primary internet service should have a speed of at least 25 Mbps with a cable connection.

• Backup internet service should have a speed of at least 10 Mbps.

• Experience in the e-commerce sector is preferred.

• Previous experience supporting UK-based companies is an advantage.

• Experience as an executive assistant or in business operations is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Shopify, Gmail or Outlook, Slack or Teams, Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, along with relevant e-commerce shipping, inventory, and analytics tools is needed.
