Dynamics 365 CE Data Migration Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE data migration across various client replatforming initiatives.

• Assess source-system data and map legacy Microsoft Dynamics CRM entities, fields, relationships, and reference data to the Dynamics 365 CE target data model.

• Design, develop, test, and implement migration scripts, packages, and repeatable migration processes.

• Assist with data extraction, transformation, loading, and reconciliation activities.

• Investigate and address data quality issues, missing records, invalid relationships, mapping challenges, and migration exceptions.

• Validate migrated data by performing record counts, sampling, reconciliation reports, and functional testing.

• Support migration rehearsals, cutover planning, production migration, and post-migration verification.

• Collaborate with product and client technical teams regarding configuration, dependencies, security constraints, and migration readiness.

• Provide technical insights into estimates, delivery plans, risks, and dependencies.

• Maintain mapping specifications, migration runbooks, validation outputs, issue logs, and handover documentation.

• Assist in client workshops and working sessions.

• Help with post-go-live troubleshooting and data remediation.

• Analyze source data and aid in deduplication, standardization, enrichment, transformation, validation, and controlled bulk updates.

• Generate data quality findings, exception reports, and remediation suggestions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in delivering data migration projects involving Microsoft Dynamics CRM and/or Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement.

• Strong practical knowledge of the Dynamics 365 CE data model, including entities, fields, relationships, activities, owners, teams, business units, and reference data.

• Experience in mapping, transforming, and migrating large volumes of CRM data.

• Proficient in building and executing migration scripts or packages using KingswaySoft, SSIS, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Power Platform tools, or similar technologies.

• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.

• Experience in data cleansing, deduplication, transformation, validation, and bulk data remediation.

• Understanding of Dynamics 365 CE configuration, workflows, plugins, integrations, customizations, and security settings.

• Experience supporting test cycles, user acceptance testing, migration rehearsals, cutover activities, and post-go-live support.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with project managers, analysts, testers, product teams, and client stakeholders.

• Excellent documentation skills.

• Experience in Agile, hybrid, or project-based delivery environments.

• Comfortable managing multiple client projects simultaneously.

• Desirable: experience with legal-sector CRM, case management, or customer engagement platforms.

• Desirable: experience with Litera CX365 or similar Dynamics 365-based legal technology products.

• Desirable: familiarity with Power Platform, Dataverse, Power Automate, and Dynamics 365 integrations.

• Desirable: experience with Azure-based data integration and cloud infrastructure.

• Desirable: knowledge of APIs, middleware, and integration platforms.

• Desirable: experience with controlled production data cleansing, backups, rollback procedures, and change approvals.
