Dutch Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Handle phone calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering any content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service during the interpretation process.

• Facilitate effective communication between individuals with Limited English Proficiency and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretation of the messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Demonstrate a willingness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Maintain open communication and report to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Dutch."

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation within a reputable interpretation company.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
