DSN Scheduler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create requirements utilizing Request/Requirement & Control Language (R&CL) alongside events in SSS for the initial generation of schedules.

• Engage in conflict resolution negotiations with all DSN users to enhance the return of science data.

• Oversee the maintenance of spacecraft support requirements, flight view periods, along with scheduling constraints and guidelines.

• Coordinate the accurate delivery of DSN view periods and other mission products necessary for Resource Allocation Review (RAR) analysis.

• Assist in preparing and coordinating responses for proposals and project-directed meetings.

• Generate weekly status reports on scheduling activities.

• Provide plots, reports, and schedule sorts as required.

• Maintain project interactions with JPL concerning scheduling matters.

• Operate (and test as necessary) internet utilities, the Common Allocation and Scheduling Tool (CAST), the Service Preparation Subsystem (SPS), SSS, and internally developed scripts.

• Participate in activities aimed at process improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Experience with computers and application software, including UNIX.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
