Drilling Optimization Engineer – Real Time Monitoring

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Ongoing assessment of essential real-time operational metrics to reduce risks, enhance mechanical performance, and maintain wellbore integrity.

• Implementation of predictive hydraulics and torque and drag (T&D) analysis to refine the mud weight window and optimize energy transfer to the drill bit.

• Spearhead the evaluation of drilling KPIs (NPT, ILT, Flat Time), improving ROP through the design and calculation of Drilling Roadmaps based on MSE (Mechanical Specific Energy), formation signatures, and technical constraints (Limiter Analysis).

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (Geosciences, Well Engineering, and Operations) to synchronize optimization strategies with safe and cost-effective asset delivery objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in managing, analyzing, and interpreting real-time drilling data platforms.

• Willingness to work flexible shifts and on-call rotations (24/7) to support operations across various time zones.

• Advanced English (C1): Technical expertise and fluency required to engage with global teams and prepare engineering reports.
