Drilling Geologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct fieldwork for hydrogeological programs, which entails groundwater sampling, overseeing borehole drilling, and the installation of monitoring wells, as well as conducting tracer studies, pumping tests, and packer tests.

• Contribute technical expertise to various projects across Ensero.

• Communicate groundwater data effectively, involving data analysis and report preparation.

• Design and implement groundwater studies to assist in assessments of contaminant transport, groundwater impacts, and remedial planning.

• Incorporate groundwater data into geochemical and water balance models.

• Possess the capability to operate and maintain specialized field testing and monitoring instruments.

• Develop conceptual models of groundwater systems.

• Create both local-scale and regional-scale groundwater numerical models (such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, Groundwater Vistas).

• Provide factual and interpretive reports on field data and site conditions.

• Collaborate with other technical specialists to meet multidisciplinary project objectives.

• Ensure the monitoring and promotion of environmental health and worker safety.

• Carry out all other related tasks as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Possession of a P.Geo or P.Eng designation, or the ability to secure a professional designation within one year.

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in consulting or the mining sector, with proven experience in supervising drilling programs.

• Willingness to travel and engage in field programs in remote areas of BC and Yukon.

• Strong communication skills and proficiency in technical report writing.

• Proficient in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
