Driller's Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Assist Drill Operator: Aid core drill operators in the setup and operation of drilling equipment to secure core samples.

• Equipment Handling: Relocate drills, supplies, and equipment as necessary.

• Set Up Drills: Construct drill decks and other necessary structures.

• Handle Materials: Lift and transport steel drill rods, core tubes, and casings.

• Sample Handling: Move core samples from core tubes to core boxes and label them accurately with area and depth information.

• Mix Drill Mud: Prepare and oversee the maintenance of drilling mud as needed.

• Maintenance: Service, repair, and clean equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• Work Area Safety: Keep work sites safe, tidy, and free from hazards.

• Water Supply: Oversee water lines and supply pumps.

• Tool Use: Operate hand and power tools safely.

• Vehicle and Equipment Operation: Drive water trucks, tractors, forklifts, and other machinery as required.

• Additional Duties: Carry out other tasks as assigned to assist with drilling operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be open to working 12-hour shifts (both day and night) for up to 20 consecutive days, followed by 10 days off (including weekends and holidays).

• Willingness to travel (including out-of-state) if local work is unavailable.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with others.

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

• Capability to lift up to 100 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to climb ladders and navigate equipment.

• Eagerness to work 12-hour shifts (day and night) for up to 20 consecutive days.

• Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, and wet).

• Must be open to traveling for multi-day assignments away from home.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
