Driller Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist Drill Operator: Provide support to core drill operators in preparing and operating drilling equipment to acquire core samples.

• Equipment Handling: Relocate drills, supplies, and equipment as necessary.

• Set Up Drills: Construct drill decks and other necessary structures.

• Handle Materials: Move and transport steel drill rods, core tubes, and casings.

• Sample Handling: Transfer core samples from core tubes to core boxes and ensure they are accurately labeled with area and depth information.

• Mix Drill Mud: Prepare and uphold drilling mud as needed.

• Maintenance: Service, repair, and clean equipment to guarantee optimal functionality.

• Work Area Safety: Ensure that work areas are safe, tidy, and free from hazards.

• Water Supply: Oversee water lines and supply pumps.

• Tool Use: Utilize hand and power tools safely.

• Vehicle and Equipment Operation: Operate water trucks, tractors, forklifts, and other equipment as required.

• Additional Duties: Carry out other tasks as assigned to assist with drilling operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts (both day and night).

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with others.

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

• Capacity to lift up to 100 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to climb ladders and equipment.

• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (day and night) for up to 20 consecutive days.

• Comfortable working under extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, and wet).

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
