This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Collaborate with sales teams to achieve and surpass sales targets by formulating and executing strategic technical account plans.
• Present, demonstrate, and design security architectures across the Palo Alto Networks portfolio tailored to customer business requirements.
• Design intricate environments encompassing network security, security operations, and cloud security.
• Propel customer adoption of the Palo Alto Networks security platform.
• Perform technical discovery and align solutions with customer needs.
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, technical workshops, and product demonstrations.
• Partner with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams to guarantee successful implementation and adoption.
• Articulate complex security concepts to both technical practitioners and executive leadership.
• Coordinate with Specialists, Channel Partners, and Customer Support resources to ensure customer success.
• Advocate for comprehensive security solutions, including Palo Alto Networks and partner professional services.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging security threats.
• Dedicate time to personal development and contribute to the District Systems Engineer community and industry events.
• Cultivate cross-training and expertise across SOC, Cloud, Networking, and NetSec.
• Progress towards becoming a Palo Alto Networks portfolio architect.
• Establish and maintain robust customer relationships while demonstrating consulting abilities.
• Design and architect large-scale, complex environments.
• Develop business acumen with potential progression into CTO/CIO/CISO-level leadership roles.
• Act as a role model and mentor for inside Systems Engineers.
• Travel up to 50% within the designated district.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in pre-sales/sales engineering and/or completion of the SC Academy.
• Knowledge of data networking, security architectures, and contemporary cloud computing environments.
• Experience in delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and drive new business initiatives is preferred.
• Ability to influence and secure buy-in from key stakeholders.
• Proficient in creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation projects.
• Experience in selling, designing, implementing, or managing Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.
• Experience collaborating with Customer Support functions to ensure effective implementation and adoption.
• Experience in complex sales involving lengthy sales cycles, multiple buying centers, and multi-product solutions is preferred.
• Willingness and capacity to travel up to 50% within the assigned district.
• Fluent in English.
