This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Deliver leadership support and operational assistance across district schools in alignment with business and staffing requirements.
• Assist schools during transitions in leadership, periods of absence, staffing shortages, enrollment increases, onboarding phases, or other operational demands.
• Collaborate with Executive School Directors and school leadership teams to facilitate daily operations and ensure adherence to The Gardner School standards and expectations.
• Ensure uniformity in operational implementation, family engagement, and leadership methodologies across district schools.
• Provide classroom coverage and coordinate staffing as necessary to uphold safe and efficient school operations.
• Identify operational deficiencies, appropriately escalate concerns, and support the execution of action items and priorities.
• Ensure compliance with Massachusetts EEC licensing requirements, health and safety protocols, and company policies.
• Maintain organized school operations, readiness for licensing, and standards for documentation.
• Assist with enrollment-related tasks, including conducting tours, following up with families, managing leads, and executing school enrollment strategies.
• Support budgeting and financial tasks, such as labor management, supply oversight, cost awareness, and adherence to district or school financial objectives.
• Aid in scheduling, managing ratios, handling opening and closing duties, and organizing daily operations.
• Provide extra leadership assistance during peak periods, school events, enrollment activities, or special projects.
• Facilitate the execution and follow-through of company and district initiatives, operational priorities, and best practices across schools.
• Assist Executive School Directors and Assistant Directors with operational priorities, team support, and school initiatives.
• Cultivate positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues across district schools.
• Aid in the onboarding, coaching, and development of school team members.
• Help foster a positive, collaborative, accountable, and solutions-focused culture.
• Assist with family communication and service recovery efforts as required.
• Exemplify the leadership presence, sound judgment, professionalism, flexibility, and accountability expected of an aspiring school Director.
• Collaborate with Executive School Directors and the District Manager to prepare for future school-level Director roles.
• Must fulfill Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care criteria to qualify as Director II at the time of hiring.
• A Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, business, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Previous leadership experience in an early childhood education setting is mandatory.
• Proven ability to lead with professionalism, sound judgment, flexibility, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational capabilities and the ability to swiftly adapt to evolving operational and school demands.
• Skilled in building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with various school teams.
• Familiarity with Massachusetts EEC licensing standards and early childhood school operations.
• Demonstrated interest in and readiness for continued development toward full school-level leadership.
• Must be able to travel regularly between schools within the district.
