District Sales Manager – Auto Wash Chemicals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Drive new business growth by generating leads, establishing relationships, and engaging in prospecting with auto wash distributors, owner-operators, and multi-site wash operators in a large market with significant market share potential.

• Oversee key accounts, including distributors and direct clients, with the prospect of increasing wallet share and enhancing product usage.

• Stay updated on market dynamics, competitor products, and industry advancements within the car wash and vehicle care sector.

• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of auto wash chemical programs, application techniques, wash processes, and associated equipment to effectively address customer inquiries and showcase value.

• Manage and sustain an existing account portfolio while increasing sales of value-added products and services within the company's auto wash offerings.

• Employ a consultative, value-oriented sales approach aimed at acquiring new customers, retaining current ones, and boosting repeat consumable sales.

• Monitor sales activities, pipeline progression, customer prospects, and account updates through CRM systems and other reporting tools.

• Negotiate and finalize sales contracts and agreements to meet territory sales objectives and profitability targets.

• Collaborate with technical, research and development, and customer service teams to identify client needs and deliver effective solutions.

• Conduct on-site customer evaluations to assess wash performance, suggest program enhancements, support product transitions, and strengthen client relationships.

• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to enhance brand visibility and create new business opportunities.

• Relay customer needs and market insights to internal teams to facilitate coordinated execution and rapid organic sales growth.

• Successfully achieve individual and team sales objectives while maintaining a strong focus on customer safety, service quality, and operational excellence.

• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience in auto wash, vehicle care, specialty chemicals, industrial sales, or a related domain is preferred.

• Demonstrated success in lead identification, prospecting, closing new business deals, and delivering compelling sales presentations.

• Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships while enhancing the value proposition of existing products and services.

• Strong skills in territory management, account planning, and time management.

• Effective consultation, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

• Capability to analyze customer operations and propose practical solutions that enhance wash performance, chemical results, and customer satisfaction.

• Mechanical aptitude or the willingness to learn basic chemical application and wash process troubleshooting.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight travel as necessary.
